Functions at Salt Bar Restaurant

Below you will find Salt’s comprehensive functions package for you to consider. Please note, that at the time of posting this package onto our web site, all prices and menu options were correct at the time, but due to market place fluctuations, certain line items may have been changed or replaced with a similar product, or some of the pricing structure may have changed. Beverages at Salt

Salt has created various Beverage Packages to suit your budget, thus ensuring that your function meets each and every one of your requirements.

Option 1: Cash Drawer:
Each member of the party pays for their drinks individually over the bar as they go. Please note, as with all function options, although Salt will permit individual beverage purchases, the food component of the group will be presented in one bill.

Option 2: Open Bar:
The Cocktail Lounge is used for all of the function or only a part of it. The guests will order their drinks over the bar and the purchases will be placed onto an account to be tallied up at the end of the function, and be presented to the host for finalisation. It is the host’s decision whether to have the entire bar open for their guests, or whether to have a pre-determined beverage list available to the guests,
e.g. - just house champagne, local beer and wine.

Option 3: Set Beverage Package:
The function is covered for all drink requirements over a pre-determined time period, at various levels, to be set by the host. This option is very popular at Salt as it allows the host of the function to know the Entire Cost of the function, prior to its start, with no additional costs involved.

Regarding the above Beverage Packages, it is possible, if you so wish, to upgrade various lines. Simply choose the ‘upgrades’, from below, and add that amount per person.

Catering for all occasions, from corporate events and launches, to weddings and special birthdays, or any other milestone that you wish to celebrate, Salt has it all.
At Salt, we pride ourselves on the quality and freshness of the produce that we create and present to the customer.

SET MENU PRICING

2 Course
(entrée and main; or main and dessert) $40.00 per person
3 Course
(entrée, main and dessert) $55.00 per person

IMPORTANT

Please note, the entire food bill will be presented to the host at the end of the function before finalisation.

If any member of the party has any special dietary requirements, Salt will fully accommodate their needs given a minimum of 48 hours notice.

Where a celebratory cake, provided by the party, is chosen as the dessert component, then a $5.00 surcharge will apply. Salt will cut and present each individual slice with trimmings to compliment such a cake e.g. home-made ice cream, fresh berries, couli etc.

Children under the age of 15 years can opt for a special children’s menu that will be negotiated with the functions manager according to their needs.

Menu designs are very welcome at Salt. Please note, however, that 5 days notice prior to the function is necessary, for the inclusion of any banners, company logos, or headings that the host may require to place on the menu. There is no extra charge for this service.

Entrées at Salt

  2. Smoked Salmon carpaccio with honey dill sour cream, baby capers and rocket
  3. Rare beef carpaccio with red onion, grana padana cheese, roasted tomato, and olive oil
  4. Warm char grilled calamari salad, with reduced balsamic dressing and char grilled vegetables
  5. Classic Salt Prawn Cocktail with condiments
  6. Half dozen Tasmanian Pacific Oysters with apple cider dressing
  7. Warm salad of roasted veal, baby endive and fennel, with a tuna styled dressing
  8. Oven baked field mushrooms filled with imported Gorgonzola cheese, rocket salad and porcini mushroom jus
  9. Salad of Prawns, blue swimmer crab and artichoke hearts, with an avocado, lemon and lime salsa
  10. Deep fried lambs brains, freshly seasoned in parmesan bread crumbs, accompanied with caper and red wine sauce
  11. Warm salad of chicken, avocado, and roasted peppers, with citrus mayonnaise
  12. Char grilled vegetable stack, with marinated fetta, olives and mustard seed dressing

Mains at Salt

  1. Grilled Blue Fin Tuna, medium rare, with a salad of green beans, young tomatoes, olives and kipfler potatoes, ‘salsa verde’ dressing
  2. Scotch Fillet, marinated in lemon and rosemary, char grilled and served with a celery and potato pureè, sea salt and olive oil dressing
  3. Cannelloni – hand made pasta sheets filled with truffle infused mushrooms, ricotta and spinach, oven baked and dressed with a creamy basil pesto sauce
  4. Chicken Breast – oven baked, with potato pureè and a wild mushroom ragu
  5. ‘Melanzana Ripiena’ – baked eggplant stuffed with fontina cheese and pine nut risotto served on a tomato and olive oil couli
  6. Oven baked Fillet of Blue Eye fish with a tomato and zucchinni confit, olive oil and lemon dressing
  7. Herb crumbed medallions of baby Veal pan fried with a salad of marinated vegetables
  8. Porterhouse Steak char grilled, medium, with French fries and béarnaise sauce
  9. Lemon and oregano marinated chicken, oven roasted, with a mushroom risotto terrine
  10. Char grilled pork cutlets with caramelised apples and pumpkin frittata
  11. Fillet Steak char grilled with scallop potatoes and mushroom sauce
  12. Char grilled Fillet of Atlantic Salmon with an olive pesto dressing, roasted garlic and cherry tomato salad

UPGRADES (OPTIONAL) $2.00 per person

Desserts at Salt

  1. Lemon Tart with poached strawberries and cream

  4. Rich Chocolate and Raspberry Terrine, with orange flavoured white chocolate sauce and ice cream
  5. Warm profiteroles filled with cream patissiere and coffee infused chocolate sauce
  6. Strawberry Tart with Almond cream, apricot couli, and vanilla bean ice cream
  7. Summer Berry Pudding with poached berries and double cream
  8. Coffee infused panna cotta with a poached stone fruit salad
  9. Traditional crème brulee with ice cream
  10. Award-winning 3 year old Yea cheddar, with home made dried fruit terrine and crackers

Please note, Salt only uses fresh produce therefore some items may not be in season at the time of your function, thus a suitable alternative, with your approval, will be sought.
